I shoot most of my photos at 2mp resolution on my Pentax WPi, which has a max of 6mp. I can easily print grainless A4 size photos (8 1/2 x 11) at this resolution! It's a bunch of baloney that you need an $8,000 dollar camera to get a good 16x20 print! With my Nikon D40, ($500 with lens) (also 6mp max res), I can get grainless 16x20 prints shot in unmanipulated jpeg. The chart is totally theoretical and does not apply to real practice.

Zoe,

In a word: Expensive. The body of the Nikon D3x, sans lens, will set you back around US$8,000.

FYI, there's a camera store called Adorama that will ship to Australia (and almost anywhere else):

I am just as excited by the Nikon D3x. But it will be a while before it reaches the shores of Australia where I live. What is the expected price of this camera?
